DAY 4
Step 1 - Listen to this praise and worship song: (5 mins.)
Step 2 - Pray: (2 mins.)
"Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for this day of life. I thank You for new opportunities and for new experiences. I thank You for loving me and for knowing what is inside of my heart. I choose to surrender all of my concerns, all of my problems and all of my cares to You today. I desire for You to draw closer to my heart today. Deepen our relationship with one another and draw me even closer to Your heart. Help me to be patient with You, with myself and with others today as I continue to grow as a Christian and learn how to wait on You for all things. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!"
Step 3 - Write: (5 mins.)
Consider sharing with the Lord in writing some areas of your life (either general or specific) where you find it difficult to wait. Identify what you are waiting for and why. Express to Him why it is difficult to wait in these areas and share with Him what you are feeling. Ask God to reveal the benefits of waiting and write them down. Then ask Him to help you grow in patience while waiting on Him.
Step 4 - Memorize: (5 mins.)
Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint."
Step 5 - Read the story of Lazarus: (10 mins.)
Think about the concept of waiting on God, while reading the story of Lazarus in John 11
Step 5 - Watch the video: (10 mins.)
Step 7 - Pray: (3 mins.)
Formulate your own prayer based on what you learned today and previous prayers that were modeled for you in this program. Ask God to show you what to pray for today specific to learning how to wait on Him. Repent for any impatience on your part.
